The Parade of 16 Women Fishermen’s Boats, organized by the Puspita Bahari Fisherwoman Community, is a collective coastal action rejecting resource exploitation and extractive projects such as seawall construction. Through the boat parade, coastal deliberations (rembuk pesisir), and local cultural practices, the movement asserts demands for livelihoods protection, habitat restoration, and rejection of false climate solutions. The action also serves as an intergenerational act of resistance—transmitting knowledge and community-led strategies for sustaining the sea to future generations.
I served as the videographer and video editor: documenting events, capturing participants’ voices, and editing the footage into a concise visual narrative used for advocacy, archiving the movement, and public campaigning.
